Boho, rustic, yet beautiful. The Drouin Wedding Expo was packed with everything a soon to be wed couple could want for their special day.
Hosted at the Drouin Country Club, the gorgeous Drouin Wedding Expo provided information, advice and delightful samples for those who stopped by. Local businesses showcased the very best of themselves for the upcoming wedding season.
For those who made it to the expo, they were met with a bright smile and a goodie bag full of all the vendors information and a few sneaky lollies. Walking around the space to see lots of people doing the things they love. A happy atmosphere filled the room. Whether couples were looking for finishing touches to their special day or just starting to plan it, the Drouin Wedding Expo had them covered.
Boho is definitely in. Laid back yet glamorous, the bohemian style has swept across weddings. Lace, flowers and beading embellish classic wedding gowns to give a breath of fresh air into what could potentially be an intimidating venture for a bride to be. However, sleek traditional gowns are here to stay.
But boho doesn’t stop there. Chic, undone hairstyles made an appearance at the expo. Hair stylists showed off their brilliant artistry with a selection of put together yet undone styles which included flowers and loose braids.
Succulents and Australian native flowers are the choice for many couples when it comes to their wedding. A rustic aesthetic is present through arrangements and even woven into the brides hair. But of course a classic bouquet hasn’t gone anywhere.
Rustic cakes are also popular, ‘Naked’ cakes with scrapings of icing, have proven to not only be delicious but a huge trend. Adorable cupcakes and macarons also proved popular. Traditional, tall cakes with pristine white fondant impressed everyone who stopped by the wonderful display of delicious sweet treats.
Celebrants, venues and honeymoons were sorted. Every couple was catered for. Whether it’s a small pub style wedding or a traditional white wedding, a local honeymoon or a fun American adventure, some of Gippsland’s best were there to help.
Every aspect of a wedding was covered, from before the ceremony to the end of the honeymoon. The expo wasn’t just business as usual, vendors were excited for all visitors wanting the very best for their wedding. An incredible amount of heart goes into being part of a wedding and the Drouin Wedding Expo certainly encompassed that.
